Monday 11th February & Tuesday 12th February - Leeds Stakeholder Events

Leeds City Council, the Leeds Initiative and over 100 stakeholders have jointly developed a Climate Change Strategy for Leeds, published for consultation on the 4th February.  Two events were held on consecutive days to bring together stakeholders from across the city to examine the recommendations put forward in the strategy in more detail - including who needs to be involved and what resources are required - in order to put the policy into action.

The next step for Leeds is a series of taskgroup meetings taking place on 10th and 11th March to take forward these action plans.  Meetings will be held for the following sectors:

• Housing

• Non-domestic buildings

• Procurement

• Transport

• Communications
